Wade came to the company 6 years ago, taking on a role to help the company further improve its Safety Department operations.  Wade was instrumental in helping the company transition to its current captive insurance program and helping the company attain its current safety rating of Satisfactory. 

During the transition from a previous company controller, he asked Joe Wade if he could try out that role since he had experience in the administrative and finance areas with another trucking company.  Wade has been in trucking for 42 years and has seen just about everything on the operations side of the business as well.

Wade indicates that he likes his position because of the challenge and day to day stimulation it provides.

Wade is married to Mary Perry and has 3 children, Mitchell, Richard and Timothy.  He was raised in Wilkes County, NC and now resides in Lexington, NC. 

When asked about his hobbies and interests, he emphatically said it would have to be his grandchildren.
